DIY No Sew Tie Shirt

Hey cupcakes! Today I will be showing you how I made a super adorable tie shirt out of an old t-shirt I had in my closet :) Shirts that tie in the front have been in style for a while now, and I always though it would be super easy to make one... and I was right! This took me a total of about 15 minutes!!!

What you Need:
-Old t-shirt
-Pair of scissors

1. Lay out the shirt on a flat surface and figure out how much you would like to cut off the bottom (make sure you don't cut off too much because mine is a little too short!)

2. Cut up the sides to the place where you would like the bottom hem to be.

3. Cut out the BACK rectangle (make sure you leave the front!!!!!!!)

4. Fold the shirt in half and cut up the middle of the front rectangle

5. Cut out two triangle shapes!
6. Tie and you are done!!!!

7. You can leave the shirt as is or cut off the sleeves or, if the shirt is a plain color, tie dye it like I did!!!! :)

10 Random Questions and Answers!

Hey cupcakes! Today I will be doing something completely random... But super fun of course! Earlier in April I did a Random Disney Questionnaire I found on Pinterest, and since everyone seemed to like it, I wanted to do another random questions post :) I went on and answered the first 20 questions it gave me! I hope you enjoy <3

1. What is your favorite day of the year? Hmmm this is already tricky! I would have to say my favorite day is Thanksgiving because my family always gathers to eat, watch the parade, and spend time together. It is truly amazing!

2. What was the last picture you took on your phone? A selfie of course! ;) I send wayyyy too many silly selfies to my boyfriend....

3. Would you rather have to sit all day or stand all day? I would have to say sit all day because my feet would get tired of standing in one spot all day!!

4. Is it better to work at a job that you love or a job that pays well? Oh my, I would defintly say a job that you love! You can't be miserable all of your life just because of money. :) Money isn't everything!

5. Do you like to cook? YES!

6. Would you rather have a grapefruit sized head or a head the size of a watermelon? Lol - probably a grapefruit sized head because they can be pretty normal head sized :P

7. What are some things you shouldn't say at work? Umm idk... Here are some:
"Oh my god, he's dead!"
"I threw away all of the money. Oops!"
"What am I supposed to do with this again?"

8. What do you usually eat in the morning? Either cereal or Eggo waffles! YUM

9. What accomplishment are you most proud of? Getting a 32 on my ACT :)

10. How would your friends describe you? An outgoing, kind, funny, smart, and creative girl <3
Did you enjoy this type of post? Let me know in the comments if you would like more of these!!! :)

BONUS QUESTION: What was your favorite subject in school? Math haha for real! :P

Tricks of the Trade with Vaseline

Hey cupcakes! I bought a tub of Vaseline a while back, and I have recently been researching things I could use it for instead of just using it on my chapped lips. Here are some of the things I have found:

  • Supposedly, you can apply to eyelashes before bed to help them grow longer!
  • Rub on your heels to help prevent blisters.
  • Put on feet, elbows, etc. to cure dry skin!
  • Soften your cuticles by applying Vaseline. :)
  • Mix with Kool-Aid to create lip gloss!
  • Apply on wrists before spraying on perfume, and it will make it last longer!
  • Pageant girls: Apply to teeth so lipstick won't stick to them!
  • Can be used to smooth skin after shaving :P

I hope you enjoyed these tips! What do you use Vaseline for? Comment below and follow! :)

Review: Using Honey To Cure Zits

Hey cupcakes! Today I will be discussing a natural and easy way to combat those nasty pimples! I have heard many people say that using honey can cure a zit, and I figured I would give it a go. I get hormonal breakouts during that time of the month, and these pimples are normally large and hard to cover up with concealer. My face routine prevents me from getting other zits, but my hormones just aren't on my side sometimes. As soon as I felt a zit coming, I spread a thin layer of honey on the spot, covered it with a bandaid (or medical tape), and slept with that on overnight. Here is what I found:

-The red bump was still there but it had not gotten any larger (so it was easy to conceal)
-There was no puss, blood, etc. in the zit
-The skin around it was not bothered by the honey
-After repeating the honey application for the next two nights, the zit was gone!!!

I was sooooo excited!!!!! So far I have prevented two nasty zits from forming using this method! Normally I would have to cover them up with heavy concealer for weeks, but this method only required three short days of a tiny amount of concealer! I would definitely give this a go if you have a few stubborn zits every once in awhile!

Review: Sephora Birthday Gift 2015!

Hey cupcakes! My birthday was a while back, and I finally got the chance to pick up my free Beauty Insider birthday gift from Sephora! This year, the gift includes a NARS mini Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella (the dark red shade) and a NARS mini Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien (nude pink shade).

The first thing I noticed was how small these samples are. There is not a lot of product in each pencil which I guess is ok since it is free. But, I feel like I will only be able to use them a few times before they are gone which is unfortunate. As for color payoff and quality, they are from NARS so overall they are very nice. The Cruella color payoff is better than the other, but this is expected since it is red. I find the Rikugien shade more wearable on an everyday basis, but the contrasting shades are perfect for day and then night. I also love the packaging because it is very sleek! Overall, I'm happy NARS partnered with Sephora to give out these free birthday gifts!

Ten Tips for Shopping on a Budget!

Hey cupcakes! I know a lot of my viewers, and myself, love to go shopping! However, this can get very expensive... Here are some quick tips, so you can still go shopping but spend less money!!! It is a win win! <3 Enjoy!

  1. Make a list of what you already have in your closet - You should know every single piece of clothing that you already own, so you don't accidentally buy it again.
  2. Look in clearance first! - Even though some items may catch your eye, start with clearance and see if you can find a deal. :)
  3. Buy some classic things, not all trendy things - Trends go out of style so think it over before you buy ten pairs of overalls! :P
  4. Go shopping alone - You will make better choices without friends or family pressuring you!
  5. Bring actual cash to spend, not your credit card - This makes you more aware of how much you are spending!
  6. Make a list of what you are looking for - Buy what you need!
  7. Check out discount stores before brand name stores! - Go to Forever 21, Target, etc. before Coach, Guess, etc.
  8. Learn to sew/alter clothes - If you find a cheap piece of clothing that needs only a little alteration, you could do that yourself and save money!
  9. Check out thrift stores - They are super cool and cheap! :)
  10. If you fall in love with something a little pricey, don't purchase it right away - Try to find it online because you will probably be able to find the same piece for a better price! If you can't, make sure you will use the piece before buying it :)

How to get the perfect smokey eye:

  1. Apply a eyelid primer all over your lid. (This is optional but helps the shadow stay all day!)
  2. Apply eyeliner however you like.. It could be simple, winged, etc.
  3. Sweep the lightest shade into the inner corners and half of the lid.
  4. Take the next lightest shade and sweep that on the rest of the lid.
  5. Take the darkest shade and sweep on the crease and outer corners in a "V".
  6. Curl eyelashes and apply mascara!
  7. Ta-da! A gorgeous smokey eye!!!! :)

How to Rock Your Summer Hair!

Hey cupcakes! I recently discovered this new hair care company called Madison Reed. They are a company that has created a healthier hair dye that is free of a lot of the harsh chemicals found in most dyes. :) This has inspired me to create a post all about rocking summer hair! <3 Today I made a nice little collage on how I pair awesome summer hair with cute, trendy clothes! Enjoy!

First, make the transition from winter hair to bright summer hair by dying it a slightly "happier" shade.
Next, pair your beach hair with a look that screams summer! I paired jean shorts, a bra-let, cute tank, and adorable sunglasses together to create the ultimate summer look. Adding some hot pink nails and a nude lip will add the perfect touch :) To top off the complete summer look, throw that newly dyed hair into a messy ponytail!!

Movie Review: Paul Blart Mall Cop 2

Release date: April 17th, 2015

Rating: PG
First of all, I was OBSESSED with Paul Blart Mall Cop in middle school. My best friend and I would watch it alllll the time, and it is super funny! After seeing the trailer for this movie, I knew I had to go see it ASAP! When it was released, I looked up the ratings, and it got horrible reviews. However, I still had to go because the first one was so hilarious. ALL OF THOSE REVIEWS WERE WRONG! This movie was hilarious, and I could not stop laughing!!!!!!!!! If you love stupid comedy, or Kevin James in general, this movie is the one for you! :P I was talking about this movie to my family for a long time after I saw it, and I really want to see it again (either in theaters or on DVD). There is no violence, and it is perfect for the whole family. :) If you don't like dumb jokes or hilarious situations then you shouldn't waste your money, but I recommend this movie 100% to everyone who loves a good laugh!

Have you seen Paul Blart Mall Cop 2? What did you think? Comment below!!!!!!!! :) <3

Naked 3 Palette Dupe?!

Naked 3 Dupe

Hey cupcakes! I just have a quick post today over I dupe for the Naked 3 palette I found! I was shopping around online and came across this eye shadow palette from Forever 21.... The shades looked familiar, and it totally reminded me on the Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay! The shades on the Naked 3 palette contains more pink tints than the other Naked palettes, and this cheaper version contains almost all of the same shades! Plus, it is way cheaper!!!!!

What do you think? Is this a good dupe? Comment below!!!! :)
