Birth Control: Femometer 3(ish) Month Update

Hey cupcakes! If you have been following me for quite some time, you will know that I have recently started using the Femometer as a form of birth control. I have been using this basal body thermometer for about 3 months now, so I wanted to update you all with what I am loving and not loving about this product in case any of you are thinking of using this product as well. 😊

What I'm (Still) Loving
-As I mentioned in my 1 Month Update post, this adds about 30 seconds to my daily routine, which made it super easy to incorporate to my morning routine. The product is also quite easy to use, and I have never had a hard time figuring out how to work the thermometer or the app.

-The more I have been using the thermometer and tracking my temperatures, the more I have been able to understand when my period is about to start, when I will be ovulating, etc. As someone who tends to break out with large pimples a few days before my period, this is AWESOME information because I am able to take preventative measures and treat my skin extra special so that my breakouts are minimal. Also, this allows me to increase my iron intake before my period as I tend to run low on it as I bleed. Basically, this product is a great way to better understand my body!! 😍

What I'm Not Loving So Much
-After about a month and a half of using the thermometer, the battery needed to be changed (a positive is that the app keeps track of the battery for you and lets you know when to change it!). I think it might have been because the thermometer was older or something, as the battery should have lasted a lot longer. However, this was an easy fix - I bought a new battery and it is still at three of three bars (so I should be set for quite some time!).

-The Femometer device instructions said that it should be able to record over a hundred temperature readings, but it didn't record one of the days last week... Which is kind of annoying but not a big deal. Because I like to see where my daily temps are relative to the previous day, I tend to sync up my Femometer to the app as part of my morning routine. This ensures that I know what is going on in my cycle. However, it is frustrating that it does not remember the data points if you forget to sync for the day.

Overall, I have been loving this device, and I would recommend all of you to start tracking your basal body temperatures... Even if you aren't going to use it as a form of birth control, it is a really great way to monitor your body - I have learned so much about my cycle that I never knew before! How do you keep track of your periods? Comment below and don't forget to follow The Chic Cupcake to never miss another post!

Simple Ways to "Give" this Holiday Season

Hey cupcakes! I hope everyone had a marvelous Christmas with friends and family! 😊 As you might have noticed, I didn't post on Monday as I was spending some quality time at home with some people I haven't seen in awhile... But don't worry, I have lots of great posts in store for you all! In celebration of the holiday season, I wanted to share my favorite ways to give and be generous during this special time of year for this post today. Let's jump right into it!

1. Volunteer your time - Help out your community by volunteering at a warming shelter, serving/cooking food at a soup kitchen/homeless shelter, or utilizing your talents to help with a church nativity production. Volunteering is an easy, and fun, way to help those around you! 💖

2. Donate to the Salvation Army bell ringers - They stand in front of many major stores and all of the bell ringers are volunteers. If you don't want to volunteer yourself, consider donating all of your extra coins! I've written a whole post about why the Salvation Army is the best thrift store, so I always try to give to them during the holidays.

3. Do some winter cleaning - I know that spring cleaning is a thing, but try winter cleaning also! Now that new items have entered your life from Santa, family, friends, etc, consider sorting through some things to get rid of the old. Donate the things you don't need anymore to a thrift store, homeless shelter, church, etc.

4. Carol at a nursing home - Some nursing homes are just really sad during the holidays... So cheer up some elderly folks by caroling there with some friends! 🎶 From personal experience, this is super fun (and it doesn't even matter if you sound good haha).

5. "Give" kindness - Write thank you letters to people you haven't thanked in awhile, put nice notes in people's mailboxes that have great holiday lights/decorations, or bake cookies for your neighbors. Giving during the holidays can be as simple as that!

6 Last Minute Holiday Gift Ideas!

Hey cupcakes! I will be honest with you all: I didn't actually start holiday shopping until this Monday.... I was super busy with school and waited until all my exams were over, but, don't worry, I still got some great gifts for my family! :) That being said, I wanted to write a post about extremely last minute gifts that you can even pick up on your way to people's houses if you forget to find a present for them. I would recommend starting as early as possible (as the most thoughtful gifts get picked out this way!), but better late than never am I right?

1. Christmas cactus - I've always been a huge fan of incorporating nature into home decor, so why not purchase a Christmas cactus?! These bloom around Christmas/December, which will always remind the person of you when its colors are out. If you can't find one, Bonsai trees or any succulent will also make a perfect (sustainable!) gift.

2. Gift card - I know, I know, gift cards are pretty lame... But they are always an option, especially on a time crunch ;)

3. Money donated in their name(s) - If you are only going to spend about $20 on someone, why not donate that to a cause they are interested in? One of my friends loves elephants, so I donated to an Elephant Sanctuary in her name... She loved it!

4. Homemade dip/side dish - As Christmas cookies and other desserts typically dominate the holiday food scene, bring some sort of side dish with you! This will help the host who won't have to cook as much, as well as help the guests who don't want to eat millions of cookies.

Buy a cute dish and let them keep it!
5. Local business gift basket - I love shopping at my local downtown stores, so I suggest putting together a gift basket of your favorite products from the town you live in. This is a great gift if you are traveling to another city/state during the holiday, as it allows the people you love to experience your hometown. :)

6. Warm, snuggly blanket - Blankets are always a great gift because you can use them at home, in the car, at school, at work, etc. Plus, everyone loves to be warm in the winter!

Movie Review: Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

Release date: July 20th, 2018

Rating: PG-13

Hey cupcakes! A few weeks before finals, my university showed Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again for FREE. I had never seen it when it was in theaters, so a group of my friends went.... And we had a blast! :D Sure, the movie is many things: cheesy, silly, but an all around good time!

The original Mamma Mia was quite the movie when it came out, and I think this sequel did a really great job of sticking to the same over-the-top format. I enjoyed seeing the back story on Donna, but parts of the story were way to much to believe (but honestly, that made the movie even more entertaining). Like who knew CHER of all people would step out of a helicopter towards the end?!

I loved how the cast was basically doubled with the "younger" versions of the characters from the first film, and I even loved how they added in some hilarious background characters... Alexio and Apollonia will especially have a special place in my heart haha. :P

Just like the first, the ABBA music was seamlessly intertwined with the plot, and my friends and I really enjoyed singing along. :P I also thought that this movie was hilarious just because of how cheesy it is (and the dance moves are just goalssss). It was a great way to relieve some stress with lots of laughter!

Overall, if you liked the first Mamma Mia I would recommend checking this one out! I especially loved the "Super Trouper" ending during the credits where the old and new cast got to interact together:

While it isn't the best cinematic movie of all time, I thoroughly enjoyed it :) What did you think about Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again? Comment below and don't forget to follow The Chic Cupcake to never miss another post!

Fashion: Cutest Holiday Sweaters of the Season

Hey cupcakes, I'm back! :) I am officially done with school for the semester, and I am super pumped that I only have one semester left! As I have been in the holiday mood now that I am home, I thought I would share the cutest holiday sweaters I have seen on the market this year. Holiday sweaters are a must have in my opinion, so let's jump right into it!

Traditional Burgundy Sweater (Amazon, $30) - Amazon is a great place to look for holiday sweaters, and I think this one is super cute! While it isn't funny/"ugly" in any way, I think it is perfect for the holidays (plus the price is hard to beat!).

Polar Bear Sweater (Macy's, $20) - I find animal holiday sweaters to be adorable, and I love the hat and sweater on this polar bear :D So cute!

Baa Humbug Sweater (Walmart, $38) - If you are looking for a typical "ugly" Christmas sweater, I suggest lower quality stores like Walmart, Target, Rue21, Forever 21, etc. Plus, they can be really funny!

Tree Rex Sweatshirt (Etsy, $18) - I have always been a huge crew-neck sweatshirt fan, so that is always a safe bet for a holiday top. This one has a dinosaur on it, which automatically makes it adorable. ;)

Snowman Sweatshirt (Forever21, $10) - Um, you can't go wrong with Frosty on your shirt in winter can you?

My Top 7 College Dining Hall Hacks!

Hey cupcakes! As a senior in college, I feel like I have learned all about the positives and negatives of dining halls :P I know that many of you are in/will be entering college, so I wanted to share my top hacks with you all today! Let's get started :)

1. Utilize the salad bar for all your veggie needs - You will never get this many vegetables prepared for you after you leave college, so I suggest eating from the salad bar as much as possible! As salads can get boring after awhile, I suggest using the vegetables to liven up side dishes or even steam them in the microwave.

2. Make quesadillas in the panini press - I have never been a fan of sandwiches, so I avoided the panini press my freshman year. BUT, I missed out on some tasty quesadillas as you can use wraps and cheese/meat/beans/veggies from the salad bar to make some great quesadillas in the panini press :) It is also a super quick meal that you can take on the go!

3. Avoid dessert every meal - The dining halls on my campus have desserts for lunches and dinners, which is dangerous for a sweet tooth. Limit yourself to dessert only once in awhile, as you can quickly gain weight this way.

4. Find the sauces! - Many dining halls have an area that has all the different sauces (soy, hot, sweet chili, etc.), and this is such an important spot to find.... While some food is supposed to be seasoned, it may be lacking in flavor.... so doctoring up your meals will make them more tasty!

5. Try to avoid sugary beverages - Dining halls will have everything from soda to rice milk to coffee, but I suggest trying to drink water as much as possible... Don't get in the habit of drinking a soda with every meal or you will be stuck with this habit as an adult!

6. Take out fruit when you can - Instead of smuggling out another cookie, I suggest taking an apple (or some other fruit) for late night cravings. This is much healthier and will help you focused on your studying.

7. Eat at the dining hall as much as possible! - Meal plans are ungodly expensive, so use it as much as possible!!!! While eating out with your friends is fun every once in awhile, it is wasting the money you already spent on your meal plan.

Broadway Review: Something Rotten!

Hey cupcakes! I cannot believe it is December... Finals are approaching, and I am definitely ready for Winter Break! :) Today I wanted to do something fun, as I recently saw the traveling Broadway production of Something Rotten! and thought you all would enjoy my thoughts on it (plus writing a post like this is a great break from studying). Let's just get right into the review!

Now, I have always been a huge Broadway gal; I am up to three shows this year: Jersey Boys, Wicked, and now Something Rotten!. I did a review of Jersey Boys here on The Chic Cupcake, but for some reason I didn't do anything for Wicked (but if you want a post like this, I will totally do it for y'all!). I went into Something Rotten! with the basic idea that it was a parody of Shakespeare but boy was I wrong....

It was SO FUNNY! I laughed so hard throughout the whole show. :D The plot focuses on two brothers who want to compete with Shakespeare, and a soothsayer tells them that Shakespeare's most famous play will be "Omelette" instead of "Hamlet". To make it even funnier, the soothsayer also tells them that musicals will be the next big thing...

There are a bunch of subplots along with this major storyline, and everything was just SO clever. There were so many references to other musicals (Rent, The Sound of Music, Annie, Chorus Line, Fiddler on the Roof, etc. etc.) that it was just a hilarious and over the top show.

And yes, there were dancing eggs :P

The songs are also so catchy (and again, hilarious). If you need a good laugh, check out their song "The Black Death" (too bad this video doesn't show the dancing grim reapers haha):

I think the characters were all really funny, and I appreciated all the puns, jokes, and amazing tap dancing. Overall, I would definitely recommend going to see this show if you are looking for a Broadway musical that will make you laugh non-stop and feel warm and fuzzy inside. :)

Beauty: How to Apply Cake Mascara

Hey cupcakes! As you saw in my Lower-Waste Living: Makeup Essentials post, I now use a cake mascara due to my journey towards zero waste. :) Cake mascara avoids plastic, doesn't allow bacteria to grow in your makeup (which does happen in wand mascaras), and is super convenient when traveling! I wanted to write a quick post sharing with you all how I use a cake mascara, just in case any of you also want to switch over... Let's jump right into it!

Step 1: Locate some cake mascara. I bought mine on Etsy for around $15 from CleanFacedCosmetics. I love it because it can be used as a mascara AND eyeliner!

Step 2: Figure out what mascara wand you will be using. Some cake mascaras come with brushes, but I wanted to use a brush from one of my favorite mascaras. After cleaning it, I trimmed it down a bit and also bent it to an angle to make the application process easier.

Step 3: Open your cake mascara. Make sure you know if you need water to apply it or not (mine you do not need water!).

Step 4: If you don't need any water, dip your mascara brush into the cake mixture and apply to your eyelashes. If you do need water, put a couple of drops of water in the mixture and mix around before dipping.

Step 5: Let each layer dry and repeat as needed to get the coverage you want. :)

Step 6: Enjoy wearing your cake mascara!

An Open Letter to Birth Control Creators

Dear birth control creators,

Why does the burden of birth control rest only on the shoulders of women? Even though women are the ones who actually get pregnant, they cannot physically do so unless there is another party involved... That's right: a man. Is the reason that women have to deal with birth control because they are more responsible? Have more at stake? Are more scared of an unwanted pregnancy?

It is because they are told by society that it is their duty and responsibility. That, in my opinion, is unfair. While yes, there may be some male birth control options (ie. condoms, vasectomies), the vast majority are exclusively for women. Why do women need to put foreign chemicals, drugs, or objects into their bodies when men do not?

Is it because the bodies of women are inferior to those of men?

I am sick and tired of being taught by the society that I live in that it is only my responsiblity to prevent unwanted pregnancies (or STIs). I don't want to have to alter my body's hormones, get nasty side effects, or put unnecessary chemicals into my body when my partner gets to do nothing but enjoy himself.

Man: "Are you on the Pill?"
Me, a frustrated woman: "No, are you?"

I am tired of my doctor laughing at me when I ask about natural forms of birth control, and his explanation of "Vatican Roulette" that I will be playing if I don't use "traditional birth control". I am tired of the fact that birth control is seen as a woman's job.

When will birth control be equalized?

Thanks for reading! Let me know your thoughts in the comment below and don't forget to follow The Chic Cupcake to never miss a post!

Fashion: Teddy Coats to Pick up on Black Friday

Hey cupcakes! I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving :) Today is BLACK FRIDAY, which means lots and lots of deals in stores and online. I have been absolutely loving the cute teddy bear coat trend currently, so I thought I would share the cutest ones on the market that you can (possibly) purchase today). Let's get started!

1. Shawl Teddy Coat (boohoo, $40) - This jacket would be so perfect with dresses and any formal look. I personally think it is a great length for the winter, and the color will definitely give off the cuddly teddy bear vibes ;)

2. Pocket Teddy Coat (Forever21, $28) - As someone who loves soft/cozy things, this coat is something I definitely have on my wishlist. I LOVE the cute pockets!

3. Sherpa Jacket (Urban Outfitters, $150) - While more on the pricey side, Urban has a large selection of these teddy coats. As the quality is quite good at Urban, I think the price can be justified a bit.... For this coat, I absolutely love the button detailing!

4. Rust Colored Teddy Coat (ASOS, $50) - A lot of teddy bear coats are brown, white, or tan, so I really like how this color is different (yet still super cute)!

What I've Learned from a Long-Term Relationship ft. 5 Year Anniversary

Hey cupcakes! I am so sorry for not posting on Monday; I was super busy with some school stuff before the Thanksgiving break. However, I am officially home enjoying some relaxing time with family (yay!).

My boyfriend and I also just recently celebrated our 5 year anniversary. <3 In celebration of this long-term milestone, I thought I would share some of the things I have learned from my relationship to pass on some of my wisdom to you all. Let's jump right into it!

~Relationships are difficult (and long distance makes them even worse): Even when you have been dating someone for so long, there will still be times where it is nothing like the fairytales in movies. My boyfriend and I have found that long distance makes our relationship even more stressful at times (especially during high stress times like finals week)... But, if you try to make them work, you will get wonderful results!

~High school relationships can actually work: I feel like a lot of people look down on "high school sweethearts", but I can personally tell you that they can actually work out (at least it has for my boyfriend and I so far).

~Romance is everything: Find what your significant other loves, whether that be some surprise flowers, a baked treat, a letter in the mail, or even a night watching their favorite film. Even in a long-term relationship, romance is still super important!

~Gifts aren't everything: My boyfriend and I have realized that showering each other with gifts is not essential to a good relationship. Sure, a nice present every once in a while is thoughtful, but every holiday does not have to break the bank. We have found that putting money towards traveling to see each other (and our future apartment!) is much more meaningful than a stuffed bear or chocolate.

~Communication IS key: I know everyone says that, but it is because it is true! Especially for a long-distance relationship, it is so important to be honest and communicate to each other (about the good, bad, and ugly). If you are ever arguing, I suggest doing it face to face or on the phone instead of over text (which normally makes things worse).

~Follow your heart: I'm a huge believer in gut instincts. If you truly are meant to be with someone, your gut will tell you. If not, it might be time to move on to something better <3

DIY: Quick & Easy Thankfulness Jar

Hey cupcakes! Thanksgiving (aka my favorite holiday!) is just around the corner, so I wanted to share a super easy turkey-day-inspired DIY with you all today... My family likes to write down a few things that we are thankful for each year and then we read them throughout Thanksgiving dinner. It is a great way to share memories and share our thanks, and it is something I would definitely recommend :) This DIY is an easy jar to store all of these thankful notes, and it would make a perfect centerpiece!

What You Need
-Jar of some sort (could be a mason jar or any other glass container)
-Paint or paint pen
-Stencil (optional)
-Other decorations (optional - some ideas include fake leaves, stickers, etc.)

What To Do:
1. Figure out what you want your jar to say. It could a simple "Give Thanks" or you could make it personalized for your family.

2. Either use a stencil or freehand your message onto the glass. If you want thinner/cleaner lines, I suggest using a thin paintbrush or even a paint pen!

3. Let dry completely.

4. Decor your jar with any other decorations. This could be ribbon, rhinestones, fake leaves, etc. Anything to make your centerpiece the star of your dinner table!

5. Ta-da! Let your family write on strips of paper and fill that jar to the brim :)

How to Get into the Grad School of Your Dreams!

Hey cupcakes! As I said in my latest rant post, I recently got accepted into my master of accounting grad program. I know that some of my readers are younger than me and might be thinking about applying/going to grad school as well, so I thought I would share my tips and tricks since I just went through the application process. Let's jump right into it!

1. Have a budget in mind - I know this might sound crazy, but grad school is usually more expensive than undergrad... Having a budget in mind before you even start looking at programs might be a good idea! Especially if you are looking for out of state schools, it is nice to know upfront how much more it will cost you (and if you are able to even take out that many loans!).

2. Visiting/touring grad schools is just as important an undergrad - Your gut has a nice instinct, so trust it when you are on campus! A lot of websites can make it seem like the school is amazing, but that might not be the reality. I definitely suggest visiting where you think you want to go just to get a feel of the campus and the town/city it is located in.

3. Pick somewhere you want to end up - If you don't plan on staying in Idaho, then don't go to grad school there! You will make so many connections at the grad school you choose, so try to plan accordingly!

4. Have a strong letter of recommendation(s) - Some applications will ask for a certain person to write it, but if not, pick someone that knows all about you! While you may be tempted to have your boss or professor write it, make sure they actually know you on a professional and personal level and can write a strong letter that isn't just a paragraph long. :)

5. Consider financial aid opportunities! - When looking at schools, make sure they offer good financial aid or other ways that will help you pay for your higher education (like teaching assistant positions, research grants, etc.). Again, grad school is pricey and a school with lots of aid opportunities is definitely a win win!

6. Think outside of the box for your essays - Don't write about something boring or something typical. Let the essays reflect you and your personality (just make sure it makes sense and uses correct grammar please).

7. Have a back up plan - Apply to at least one safety school just is case :)

8. Stay positive! - Even if your test scores aren't as high as you'd like or your GPA got lowered by a difficult class, stay positive throughout your grad application process! You are AWESOME and will get into a school... If it isn't your first choice then it just wasn't meant to be <3

Movie Review: Crazy Rich Asians

Release date: August 15th, 2018

Rating: PG-13

Hey cupcakes! My campus recently put on a free screening of Crazy Rich Asians, so of course my friends and I had to go :) I had heard nothing but good things about the film, but I still didn't know what to expect...Would the movie be the typical rom-com/chick flick with predictable plots and characters? NAH - I thought it was a great movie!

First, the characters are actually well developed (which is honestly a feat for the rom-com/chick flick genre haha). And I'm not just talking about the main couple; there were so many great secondary roles that had some nice character development too. I think the awesome cast of actors and actresses helped with this also!

I was worried that the plot would be predictable because the name of the movie and even the trailer give away the major storyline... But, it was an emotional rollercoaster! The love story felt so real and relatable even with this outrageous idea that their family is uber rich (which is not that relatable for many/all of us). Plus, THERE WERE SO MANY GREAT PLOT TWISTS! I also think the addition of some subplots with the secondary characters also added to the overall story of the film. :)

As much as it was emotional/heart-warming, it was also hilarious!!! I was laughing SO hard at times, and it was a great addition to the rom-com feel of the film. The costumes and scenery were just gorgeous throughout the whole movie (ummm the wedding scene was just over the top extra and I loved it), and the soundtrack was also filled with some bopping bops.

Overall, I would watch this movie again in a heartbeat. If I was having a bad day, this would cheer me up. If I needed a good cry, this would do the trick. And if I wanted to laugh for hours - Crazy Rich Asians! ;) I'd definitely recommend! ALSO, the sequel is coming out in June 2019, and I'm here for it!

My College Nighttime Routine :)

Hey cupcakes! Back in September I did a Morning Routine post here on The Chic Cupcake. As you all seemed interested in seeing how I get ready in the morning, I also thought you might think it interesting to see how I wind down for the night. :) Let's get right into it!

I'm usually back to my dorm at around 7 or 8 PM each night (sometimes earlier). As I enjoy being productive during the day, I normally only have a little more studying/homework to do.

At around 10 o'clock (after I have finished my work), it is time for my daily shower! I grab my pjs and shower caddy before waddling down the hall in my lovely shower shoes... (Remember these beauties when you were in college? :P )

My shower routine is pretty simple:

1. Shampoo - Paul Mitchell Tea Tree
2. Soap - Yardley Almond and Oatmeal
3. Face wash - Proactiv

If I am feeling it (which I normally never am haha), I will shave my armpits and/or legs with my stainless steel safety razor (YAY SUSTAINABILITY!). If you are interested to see what razor I use or how I shave with it, check out my whole post about it here

After toweling off, I apply my DIY apple cider vinegar toner on my face using a washcloth. This toner has honestly been a lifesaver for my skin, so I recommend making it too! :) I then squeak my way down the hallway back to my room.

To enjoy the rest of my night, I usually catch up on the latest Food Network episodes or watch some YouTube videos. Some of my fav Food Network shows currently:

-Holiday Baking Championship
-Christmas Cookie Challenge
-Guy's Grocery Games
-The Pioneer Woman (she is vastly underrated, let me tell you why!)

If I'm feeling extra productive I might even go on Bloglovin' to see what my fellow bloggers are up to! When my eyes start to feel tired, I brush my teeth (electric toothbrush and Tom's of Maine toothpaste).

The very last thing I do before heading to bed is set my alarm for 6:45 AM.... Which is when my Morning Routine will start again! ;)

What does your nighttime routine look like? Comment below and don't forget to follow The Chic Cupcake to never miss a post!

Why I'm SO Over Senior Year

Hey cupcakes! As some of you may know, I am a senior in college this year... And I am ALREADY so sick of this year (and it is only November). I just want to be done with my undergrad; graduation in May could not come faster.

First, I recently got accepted into my master of accounting program! It is at the same school I am currently at, which means I will get to experience another year here. I am starting to get sick of the same all-girls dorm I have lived in all four years.... I still love this building and the people in it (don't get me wrong), but I will be living in a 2 bedroom apartment off-campus next year with my best friend.... So I am so excited for next year!

I also have a full-time job lined up with PwC that I will start after this program - September 2020 I will be entering the work force for my first real position! :D The fact that I already have this is making my motivation to study as hard as usual extremely difficult... I'm just ready to become an adult!

I am also getting really sick of living in the same room as someone. Sure my roommate could be worse, but she also could be better. Haha - I basically wrote My Tips & Tricks for Dealing with a Less-than-Ideal Roommate about her, so I am just ready to live by myself. As you all know, I lived in a studio apartment last summer while I did my internship, and because I will also be doing that same thing this summer I am just ready to have my own space.

I'm also honestly over the whole "college" experience - the parties, drunk people, hook-up culture, etc. My roommate still gets completely wasted sometimes for "fun", and I just don't see the benefit especially since we are old enough to have real jobs. I think I'm in a place in my life where I am ready to move on from college, and I'm excited to see what the future has in store.

I hope this post doesn't seem like a bunch of whining to you all, but I just wanted to share where my head is at currently. :) Hopefully you all understand where I am coming from - let me know if you experienced the same thing during your senior year of college!  Comment below and don't forget to follow The Chic Cupcake to never miss a post!

Fashion: My Favorite Burnt Orange Pieces

Hey cupcakes! In the fall-time I absolutely love to wearing burgundy and burnt orange. I think these colors are essential to have in your autumn wardrobe, so I thought I would share some of the cutest burnt orange pieces I have seen on the market. :) Let's jump right into it!

~Solid Pullover Sweater (Romwe, $15): This sweater is so perfect for fall; I can just imagine styling it with some denim and knee-high boots!

~Orange Romper (Forever21, $20): Ahhhhh this is such a cute romper! I love how it has buckles and resembles overalls... So adorable!

~Dr. Martens (Zappos, $140): I have always been a big fan of buying colored boots (instead of the typical black or brown), and I absolutely love the color of these! These definitely should be added to my list of My Fave Fall Booties :)

~Chiffon Blouse (H&M, $18): I'm a business student which is probably why I was drawn to this shirt (always looking for new work clothes haha), but I think it would be super cute layered with a nice fall jacket....

~Orange Tie Pants (Windsor, $25): Ugh, I am in love with these pants! I think they would be so fun to style and make a great transition piece into fall.
