Storytime: Locking Out Drunks?!

Hey cupcakes! Saint Patrick's Day is coming up shortly, which means you might encounter some drunk people.... In the spirit of getting drunk/this holiday haha, I thought I'd share with you all a funny(ish) story that happened to me recently. Let's jump right into it!

So this story takes place on a typical Friday night at college. After a long day of work, class, homework, studying, etc. I thought it would be fun to hang out with a few of my friends. I trekked the 10 minute walk to their apartment, and we had a really great time hanging out. At about midnight I thought I best be heading home, and (of course!) it had started to snow at that point in time.

Me every day it snows :P

I said my goodbyes, bundled up, and headed home. When I was about a block away from my dorm (an all-girls dorm remember), I noticed there was a group of about 7 guys just standing by the building's steps.

As I walked closer, I could hear one of the guys reading the sign outside:

"... is an all-girls dorm built in....." The whole group was clearly drunk.

To avoid the riff raff, I went up the wheelchair ramp and got out my card to get in. Behind me I hear,

"Can you let me in, my girlfriend lives in the building..." said one of the boys (of course slurring his words haha).

Being polite I declined and said that she must come get him, as we aren't allowed to let randos in the buildling. His reply: "What if I told you that you were my girlfriend?"

Also me: Opens door and slams it (so that it would lock)

I made sure the door was definitely locked and then I enjoyed the rest of my night haha. Pretty sure the drunks left, but make sure to stay safe out there everyone! <3
