HUGE Collective Thrift Store Haul!

Hey cupcakes! After vowing to live a lower waste lifestyle, I have found a new hobby this summer: thrift shopping! :) I never knew how fun it was to thrift, not only because I get to save a bunch of money but also because I get to help the planet and find some really unique fashion pieces. I don't thrift as often as I'd like, but I definitely have found some cute items that I wanted to share with you all today!

Note: As I said in my Top 10 Thrift Shopping Tips & Tricks post, sizes aren't a huge thing to look out for when thrift shopping because used clothes could have shrunk or been stretched. Because of this, this haul has a bunch of different sizes :) ALSO, I don't remember all of the exact prices, but most of these clothes were only $3-4!!!!

1. Old Navy Denim Pencil Skirt (size 4) - I have been wanting a jean skirt for soooo long, and I was so excited to find one at the Salvation Army. While I would have liked for it to be a bit shorter, it is probably good that it is longer because then I can wear it to work (as we have a casual dress code and jeans are allowed).

2. Banana Republic Tank Top (size XS) - This shirt was in perfect condition, and it can be styled in so many different ways! I have worn it with jean shorts, a pencil skirt for work, and I bet there are other ways I will style it in the future.

3. Lapis Black Pencil Skirt (size XS) - For me, pencil skirts have always been really tough to find because it needs to be tight enough to make me look actually good (haha) but also needs to be a bit loose at the waist so that I can tuck in a dress shirt for work. This skirt fits me so well (and I love how it has the ruffles at the top, so it isn't just a bland black skirt)!

4. Alfani Green Tank Top (size 4P) and Ann Taylor shrug (size XS) - Again, this tank top was in perfect condition (and was only $1!) so how could I not? It is definitely perfect for both casual and dressy looks. This cardigan/shrug thing was also super cute, so I just had to get it!

5. Floral Navy Pencil Skirt (size 4) - Even though I'm not sure what brand this is, the material is super nice! Perfect for work and for a day out on the town ;)

6. Kennedy Space Center T-shirt (size men S) - You can find a lot of interesting t-shirts at the thrift store... Some are pretty old, but then you can also find brand new ones like this one! It is legit from the Kennedy Space Center, and I just love the design of it (plus it was only $.99!). I think it would look super cute tied up with some jean shorts.

7. Ana Tank Top (size PM) - While this shirt has a lot going on, it looks really cute with a black pencil skirt and a black cardigan :) Plus, I just love the mint green color!

8. Linda Allard Ellen Tracy Navy Pencil Skirt (size 6P) - I own a bunch of black pencil skirts, but even though I have quite a few navy/dark blue dress shirts I have never found a navy pencil skirt. This one is super cute (and might possibly be a military uniform?)!

9. Market Spruce Navy Button Up (size S) - Again, this is just a perfect work shirt! It is super flowy and looks great when tucked in.

10. Hanes Gray Zip Up Sweatshirt (size M) - All of my old cozy Aeropostale sweatshirts from middle school are finally starting to fray on me, so I have been looking for an oversized sweatshirt to replace them for quite some time. I found this really obscure sweatshirt that says "The Hundred Acre Honey Hunter" on it, so how could I not buy it? Haha the things you find at the Salvation Army... :P

What have you hauled at the thrift store recently? Comment below and don't forget to follow The Chic Cupcake to never miss another post! If you want to see more thrift hauls, please let me know in the comments, so I have an excuse to thrift some more before I go back to school! :D

  1. Wow, you did really well! That black pencil skirt is super pretty and I love the Winnie the Pooh!

    1. Thanks, I thought so too! :) I definitely started thrift shopping thinking all they had was junk or old clothes, but I have definitely learned that there are hidden treasures.
