Recipe: Easy Homemade Bread in a Pyrex Bowl!

Hey cupcakes! You all seemed to really like my Flour Tortillas recipe last year, so I wanted to share another grain staple with you all today. 😍 Both the tortillas and this bread are super simple to make, and they are great ways to avoid plastic packaging at the grocery store (plus they are more cost effective!). Let's jump right into the recipe! 🍞

Check out the original recipe here

What You Need:
-4 cups all-purpose flour
-2 tsp salt
-2 cups warm water
-2 tsp sugar
-2 tsp instant yeast
-approx. 2 tbsp butter (at room temperature)
-2 Pyrex bowls (either two of the 1 quarts or a 1 quart and a 1.5 quart)

What To Do:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
2. Add the warm water and mix until the flour is absorbed.
3. Cover the bowl with a towel. Set aside (in a warm spot) to rise for at least an hour - I suggest putting it into the oven with only the oven light on!
4. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
5. Grease your Pyrex bowls with about a tablespoon of butter each.
6. Remove the towel from your bread and punch it down with a fork, making sure to scrap all of the sides.
7. Cut the dough in half and place into each of the greased bowls. Note: this step can get messy as the dough is fairly wet... Don't be scared to get your hands dirty! 😉
8. Let the dough rise on the countertop for about 25 minutes. The dough should be just below or just above the top of the bowl.

9. Bake for 15 minutes.
10. Reduce the heat to 375 degrees and continue to bake for 15 minutes.
11. Remove bowls from oven and the bread should pop right out of the bowls! Enjoy! 😁
